ABOUT DISC GOLF

Disc Golf was invented in the 1970s. It is played like traditional golf, only players use a disc or frisbee.

Similar to traditional golf, the goal is to complete each hole with the fewest number of throws (strokes). Each hole consists of throwing a golf disc from the tee area to a basket (hole).

All players tee-off by throwing their disc from the tee area. After the tee-off, the player furthest from the basket goes first. Subsequent throws are followed, until everyone’s disc reaches the basket.

A stroke is counted each time the disc is thrown or when a penalty is imposed. A player’s final score consists of all totaled throws.
